Writer Chuck Wendig explained in a series of tweets that he has been fired by Marvel Comics from its Star Wars titles for "the negativity and adult movie watch online | Adult Movies Onlinevulgarity that [his] tweets bring," referring to his Twitter responses to disgruntled Star Wars fans.

Wendig clarified that the decision about his dismissal came from Marvel Comics and not Lucasfilm Ltd., and tweeted that he was explicitly told that his firing was a result of his "negativity" on social media.

Before his firing, Wendig had been working on two Star Wars comic book series: Shadow of Vaderand another as-yet-unannounced title. Wendig will not finish his work on these series.
