Struggling to find just the right drink to celebrate all the powerful women in your life?Watch Watery Boarding House Online
Now you don't have to look any further than Rodham Rye, a drink named very obviously after Hillary Rodham Clinton.
The whiskey is made by Republic Restoratives, a DC-based distillery founded by two women, and will be released on March 25. According to the Washingtonian, the founders emphasize the whiskey is more than just about Clinton, that it's "a tribute to women in history, and a tribute to women in our everyday lives."

While the whiskey is supposed to celebrate all women, the idea for it was definitely inspired by Clinton, the Washingtonianreports. The distillery wanted to do something to celebrate the election of the first female president, so they created Rodham Rye and had planned to release it around inauguration.
When reality hit that Clinton wasn't going to be the next president, plans had to be rethought.
Republic Restoratives will launch the whiskey at an event that will open with a "community conversation" called "How to Support Women in the Age of Trump." They've also announced that five percent of each $79 bottle will go to Emily's List, an organization that supports pro-choice Democratic women who are running for office.
Pia Carusone, one of Republic Restoratives' founders, told the Washingtonianthat rye is the sturdiest, most resilient grain that's used to make whiskey, a fitting choice considering the woman and women the drink is supposed to represent. Cheers!
Purchasing information will be available on the distillery's Facebook page.
