Chicago Cubs star Kris Bryant got the scare of a lifetime on Watch Ignite Vol. 3 OnlineWednesday night when lightning struck just outside of legendary Wrigley Field, scaring the bejeezus out of the All-Star.

With the game between the Cubs and visiting Atlanta Braves in a weather delay, Cubs players were waiting the storm out in the dugout when the bolt of lightning hit, ripping an ear-splitting thunder through the area and causing Bryant to jump in surprise.

After the storm passed, Bryant provided some thunder of his own with a home run that cut in to the Braves' lead in the fifth inning.

Alas, life didn't quite imitate The Naturaland Bryant and the Cubs fell short, losing to Atlanta 5-3. But we all learned a very valuable lesson and that's the fact that lightning is scary as hell and please take us far away, thanks.
