Police in Northampton,Ongoing Series Archives Massachusetts, were able to save a trapped raccoon from a sewer grate Wednesday evening — and what an adorable trapped raccoon it was.

Before the big rescue, someone snapped a photo of the stuck little guy. We'll be honest: even in his moment of peril, he looks very cute. And very, very stuck.

Luckily, it wasn't long before an animal control officer was able to slip him safely out of the drain.
