On Sunday's episode, the pink blade-wielding robot Glitterbomb -- which came complete with a feisty little girl called April -- may not have won the battle, but it was definitely the people's champion.

"I chose the colour scheme and I also chose the design," said April in the pre-battle interview. "It's a pink robot that's all glittery with a belt around its waist, and the axe is really spiky so it can dig in robots."

April immediately became the favourite on Twitter.

Tragically, Glitterbomb didn't make it through the heat stages.

But despite the early exit, April was still heralded as a hero on Twitter.
