Think Instagram Stories are Dear Utol (2025): Week 8 Highlights Episode 45already too thirsty? Just you wait.
Instagram announced a new type of sticker on Tuesday that lets users ask followers for feedback from within their Story.
SEE ALSO: Instagram's redesigned Explore tab is the newest social media time-suckerThe new "questions" sticker, which was also spotted in the app last week, is similar to the app's polling feature and emoji slider: You choose the sticker, write out a question, and anyone who views your Story can reply with an answer. The answer will only be visible to the person who posted the Story.
Answers aren't anonymous, and the asker can re-share friends' answers within their Story, but they'll appear without the username of the person who sent them.
The feature is likely to be a popular one as users have previously turned to third-party apps to solicit feedback from Instagram followers. Anonymous question app Sarahah went viral last year in part because users were linking to their accounts from their Instagram Stories, often with a request for anonymous feedback.
Although Instagram's Q&A feature isn'tanonymous, it will still likely be a hit with anyone trying to get more attention from their followers. For higher-profile accounts, it could be a way to engage more directly with fans, or host impromptu AMA (ask me anything) sessions, that currently tend to happen via live streams or on other platforms, like Reddit.
