LONDON -- Two kids' T-shirts have been causing a ruckus on social media, after people felt they promoted gender stereotyping.

The girls' tee is emblazoned with the slogan "little and loved," while the boys' tee says "brave and strong."

"These T-shirts are very popular with our customers and we always welcome their feedback. We offer a wide range of clothing and it certainly wasn’t our intention to cause any offence," a Sainsbury’s spokesperson said in a statement emailed to Mashable.
The tops haven’t been removed from our online platform.
