Paris' City Hall as well as luxury goods conglomerate LVMH has already promised 50 million euros ($56 million) and 200 million euros ($226 million) respectively, CNN reports.
Apple's Tim Cook also pledged to contribute on Twitter.

There are currently over a dozen GoFundMe campaigns dedicated to rebuilding the medieval cathedral.
Fondation du Patrimoine, a French nonprofit, has also set up a donation page and encouraged fans of the cathedral to contribute on Twitter.

The US-based non-profit French Heritage Society has set up a Notre-Dame restoration fund.
"The hearts of all of us at French Heritage Society go out to the city of Paris and all of France in the wake of the terrible fire at the Notre-Dame Cathedral," they wrote.
Emmanuel Macron called the fire a tragedy. But in these early days, it's clear that both the government and the individuals who care about history, are ready to pitch in.
