It's Mother's Day weekend,The Pursuit of Lust and in case you haven't called your mom yet, Apple has a handy way you can pester her to get on the jogging track with you a little more often: digital flowers!
SEE ALSO: Apple's self-driving car reportedly spotted on the streets in CaliforniaAn update to Apple's Activity app now shows a Mother's Day achievement badge in the design of a rose.
Along with the new iconography, a message reads: "Earn this rose badge and a special Messages sticker on Mother's Day. Just do a walk, run, or wheelchair workout of a mile or more in the Workout app or in any third party app that write these workouts to Health."
Apple has begun making a habit of using special days of the year as an opportunity to make new fitness achievements available to Apple Watch users, the most recent being the one celebrating Earth Day.
Whether all these new custom badges are actually getting more people to exercise is unknown, and we still don't even know just how many people even have the device (Apple won't say). But for those who obsess over collecting the badges, or just prefer to give digital flowers instead of real ones on the special day, the new love-meets-fitness badge is a nice new touch for Apple's first wearable.
