Katie Rich, a writer for the longrunning NBC live show, learned that the hard way.
The "Weekend Update" writer has been indefinitely suspended from the show after she tweeted a comment about President Donald Trump's son Barron, Mashable has confirmed.
In the tweet, which has since been deleted, she wrote Friday that 10-year-old "Barron will be this country's first homeschool shooter," per Deadline, which first reported the news Monday.

The writer apologized on Monday. The new message is now the only -- and pinned -- tweet on her profile.
