Last night (or more likely today),Mr & Mrs Jones (2010) you probably watched Jimmy Fallon sprint through Mushroom Kingdom as he demoed the upcoming Nintendo iOS debut, Super Mario Run. It's nice to see the game on TV, but how about giving some fans out in the real world a shot?
If you were really paying attention, you'd know that's exactly what Apple and Nintendo are doing next.
SEE ALSO: Obviously, the 'Super Mario' theme song played by its creator and The Roots is perfectLost in the excitement of seeing the highly anticipated game in action (and the following demo of a new Zeldagame on the upcoming Nintendo Switch console) was a big announcement: Apple Stores worldwide are hosting demos of Super Mario Run. And everyone is welcome to come check them out.
While it's not much of an achievement to get Fallon amped up, the game is clearly a ton of fun. It looks to be a classic callback to Mario's sidescrolling platformer origins, complete with some new school graphics and modern tweaks.
This is a great opportunity for Mario fans to flex their playing fingers and spend some time with the app before the Dec. 15 wide release. So if you haven't already, drop what you're doing and run over to the nearest Apple store, just like your favorite Italian plumber.
