Midnight Sunwas supposed to publish over a decade ago, immediately after the final Twilightnovel, Breaking Dawn, in 2008. The book recounts the events of Twilight, but from Edward's point of view instead of Bella's. Meyer released tidbits for fans, but the publication was canceled when a manuscript leaked and then tabled while the films went into production.
The Twilightnovels exploded in popularity in the early-2000s, telling the story of a teenage girl who falls in love with an immortal vampire. The books have sold over 100 million copies worldwide and the Lionsgate film series has grossed over $3.3 billion worldwide.
Midnight Sunwill hit bookshelves and online stores on August 4.
