LONDON -- After the attack on This Isn't The Twilight Saga: New Moon: The XXX Parodya gay nightclub in Orlando that claimed the lives of at least 49 people, people around the world have joined hands to show their solidarity with the victims and the LGBTQ community.
Londoners united on Monday night at a vigil in Soho -- London's gay district -- where people gathered to show their support, mourn the victims and stand in defiance against terrorism.

There were scenes of defiance from the hundreds gathered on neighbouring Old Compton Street in Soho.
The vigil made for emotional viewing.
People lit candles and drew on the pavement with coloured chalk on Old Compton Street.
